Pollution Pans

Pollution Pans

One of Arconia Engineering’s latest projects was set of four pollution pans for an oil rig in brazil. The pans are designed to basically catch overspills and spillages on the oilrig. Without these pans the oil would be wasted and more importantly a hazard to the environment.

The pollution pan fluid containment is used in upstream oil and gas industry . As the needs of oil companies and drilling contractors to reduce the amount of pollutuion going into the environment the pollution pans were developed to maintain there spillage and pollution levels. It allows Rigs, wellheads, barge rigs and drill rigs on site fluid control which benefits both the company and the environment. Because of the strongly associated benefits and innovative functionality it has become widely adopted by oil companies and drilling contractors worldwide.

The pollution pans varied in size from four metres in diameter to four metres square. The pollution pans are manufactured from 3mm Zintec which were rolled bent and welded into position. The pans were connected using a variety of stainless steel pipes which allows the oil and waste to be directed to a storage facility. The whole job was painted using a 3 coat offshore paint spec allowing excellent protection against the chemicals and offshore conditions.
